Dr Nyangasi Oduwo

Dr Nyangasi Oduwo is a financial advisory, infrastructure strategy and project development specialist. He comes with an extensive experience in project and program development. He enjoys an expansive continental network spanning Sub Saharan Africa that includes Governments, State Corporations and Private Sector. Dr Nyangasi is responsible for various government policy initiatives in the urban space especially around structured financing of urban areas. He has been instrumental in conceptualizing the sustainable subnational finance conversation in Kenya in partnership with institutions such as the Commission on Revenue Allocation, the Council of Governors, the National Treasury amongst others.

He has been the chair of the Kenya Cities Forum, an association of the five city counties in Kenya that was formed to pursue greater funding for the cities of Kenya. He enjoys an extensive network of international financial partners that includes DFI’s, Private Equity, Institutional investors, Commercial Banks and Thematic Funds. He currently consults with the Africa Union Development Agency on the Program For Infrastructure Development for Africa. Dr Nyangasi holds an MBChB (UoN), Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methods, a Masters in Project Finance, Management and Planning (UON) and another in Economic/Public Policy Analysis (JKUAT)
